Helping Out With the Harvest

Today, I got up at 5 so that I could help out with the weekly garden harvest at 6. I was asked to harvest the red lettuce, so I did that for the two hours. I picked the lettuce, cut the bottom with the roots off, and washed them once i got a big bunch. It was a little tricky at first to figure out how to harvest and wash them without damaging them (as they are pretty delicate), but I got the hang of it pretty quick. Overall, it was a fun experience, and it felt good to help.
