Another Day at the Beach!

Sophie and I went to a beach with a group of women from the community, it was fun! We went to a different place this time, called Playa Mantas I believe, or something similar. Once we got there and parked, we saw lots of iguanas, we walked right past one on our way to the beach!

We also saw scarlet macaws flying around the area, which was relly cool! I also saw a hermit crab which was really neat. We saw leaf cutter ants here too bringing leaves back to their colony for their fungus farm.

Us getting settled, it was bright, so I was squinting

We went swimming in the ocean again, and it was really refreshing. It was hotter out this time than the last time, luckily I brought an umbrella to provide some shade. Unfortunately, I did still get a but sun.

Had good conversation with the women we came with, and it was really nice to get to know them!

Saw a strange bird with a long feathery neck, which we later learned is a bare-throated tiger heron.

We did a bit of wandering around the beach and the surrounding area, it was a really cool place!

On our way home. we went to a lovely restaurant afterwards with a nice view of the trees.

We had really bad traffic on the way back, but at least the scenery was nice. We saw lots of cows and some horses both on the way there and the way back too.
