Saving Frogs
Today, I relaxed and played Elite Dangerous with my Dad and Uncle. It was fun! We are building a space station, so I was helping bring materials to help with the building effort.
Sophie found a frog in the house, but had to go, so she asked me to help get it back outside.Unfortunately, their leg got stuck in the string on the screen door, so I had to first get it unstuck. It was a really tight space, since this was the screen door on the edge of the kitchen counter, so the gap was pretty narrow. It was hard to get the frog unstuck, but I eventually did, and I took them outside. They seemed very relieved. I cleaned some lint off of them, and they hopped away. Luckily, it had just rained, so there was lots of moisture outside for them.
Later in the evening, Sophie found a bioluminescent beetle. It was cool! The back of the beetle lit up in a discontinuous circular pattern, that made me think of some light from star wars or something or maybe a ring of LEDs.

Yay for remote game playing. That is so cool. Dad enjoys getting to hang out with you online.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the frog was extremely grateful to be treated with such care.
If that was a click beetle, I read that they can control the intensity of their light. Cool!
