Today I performed with a friend at a local market. She was doing a poetry reading, and I accompanied her with my hang (hand pan) and
a djembe. IT was a neat thing to be able to do! That was the first time
I had been able to perform with the hang, so I was pretty glad I
brought it. I also was able to use my nice microphones to mic up the
hang. Though I did not have a mic stand, so I got creative with using a phone holder and a camera stand, and it worked!
After the performance was complete, I walked around with
Sophie to look at the booths, and I got some pizza for lunch. There was
also a folk dancing performance, which was really cool to watch!

That is so awesome. I suspect the poet was more than pleased to have the accompaniment. You have a way of playing that adds depth to a performance without drawing attention to the enhancement.
